WHAT IS THE BULLET JOURNAL® METHOD?
The Bullet Journal® Method (or Bujo, as it’s affectionately known) is a structured mindfulness practice embedded within an adaptable productivity system.
Ok, but what does that mean?
Most productivity systems focus on what we’re getting done. Checklists, apps, planners…you know the drill. But those methods often don’t work for many people, for the following reasons:
The system doesn’t match how your brain works.
It doesn’t allow for life changes that throw planning out the window
No help with why something is important
The reasons for procrastination are never addressed
Leads to feelings of failure, then burnout, and often resentment
Requires buying a special product…which rarely fixes the issue at hand: burnout, anxiety, and overwhelm.
The Bullet Journal Method is both a system and a practice designed to help us get out of the “autopilot mode” of “getting things done,” and helps us focus our time and attention on the things that matter most to us and to those we care about. This method encourages us to be kind to ourselves, even as we hold ourselves accountable for the choices we make, so that we can stay on the right path for us, no matter what distractions or events come our way.
